Wall lamp designed by Joe Colombo, 1967
The Coupé series, designed by Joe Colombo, was initially conceived as a variant of the Spider family, the daughter of the same designer, of which it retains the base and stem. The simple and ingenious mechanism that connects the stem to the head allows you to direct the light beam in different directions, moving the cap up, down and laterally.
Coupé obtained, in 1968, the "International Design Award" from the American Institute of Interior Designers, in Chicago. It is part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York and the "Neue Sammlung" Museum in Munich.
