Artemis Vitruvius earth

It is a family of lamps in which mechanical intelligence becomes aesthetic expression. Central elements of the project are the thin structure and the blown glass diffuser.
An ingenious mechanism inspired by watchmaking allows the insertion of three metal rods inside the sphere, thus forming the structure that supports the glass globe. The mobile rods open inside the diffuser and thanks to the extreme precision of the interlocking geometries and the balance of the weights they support the glass sphere both when it is facing upwards in the table and floor versions and when it is facing downwards into the suspension.
Even in the diffuser the coincidence between function and aesthetics is total. The transparent glass is blown into a shape dictated by optical intelligence. The raised horizontal lines prevent direct vision of the source, limit glare and spread the light more uniformly. It is a synthesis of tradition and innovation, of the ancient knowledge of glass craftsmanship interpreted with a technological perspective that looks to the future.
Glass and structure are two free elements, blocked only by a simple easily reversible mechanical gesture, the optical system generates a comfortable light with very high efficiency, the diffuser is obtained from a single process, all production and maintenance aspects are calibrated to obtain a perfectly sustainable product.
